Purity Kimathi is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA-K) and a Certified Secretary (CS). She holds an MBA in Finance & Strategic Management and a Bachelor of Commerce in Finance from University of Nairobi. She is an active member of Institute of Certified Public Accountant of Kenya, Institute of Human Resource Management and Institute of Internal Auditors. 

She has keen interests in corporate governance, people management and public finance management.

She has several years of experience in public service.
